You've got this

Happy Sunday friends!  I'm here today with another slimline card featuring a svg cut file from My Scrap Chick.  I may have mentioned my excitement for the availability slimline svgs.  I had to use this as soon as I got it downloaded to my computer!

I am in LOVE with this card!  I had absolutely no plan when I started.  I grabbed some stamps, some inks, some dies and the cut file and just played around.

The lattice layer is cut from white cardstock.  The solid layer is actually navy, not black.  Then layered onto a white card base.

The flower and leaves are from Altenew's Zig Zag Floral set.  I stamped the flowers using Altenew's Golden Sunset mini ink cubes set.  The leaves were stamped using Altenew's Lapis Lazuli mini ink cubes set.  My mini Misti came in really handy to help me line up the stamp layers.  The gray centers were stamped with Smoky Slate and Basic Gray inks from Stampin Up.

The sentimet is from Gina K Design's Just Because stamp set.  I used the darkest blue ink from the Lapis Lazuli ink set.  I stamped it onto a stitched diamond die from Gina Marie Designs.

I don't have the dies yet that match the Zig Zag Floral set so I fussy cut them out using my favorite scissors from EK Success, Cutter Bee.  I laid all of my pieces out and messed around until I was happy with the layout.  I used a piece of Glad Press 'n Seal to pick up all of my pieces.  I flipped it over and carefully lifted the edges of pieces so I could glue the pieces together.  Then I added liquid glue all over the back of the whole cluster.  I picked up the piece of Press 'n Seal and laid it in place.  I gave it a firm press a let it sit for a minute or so before I peeled off the Press 'n Seal.

The picture does not pick it up but I gave the whole card a spritz with Imagine Crafts Sheer Shimmer Spray in "Sparkle".

Oh, if you want to get your hands on the lattice svg cut file you can snag it from the My Scrap Chick store HERE.  It includes four different lattice pieces, the layering piece and the card base!

Thanks for stopping in!

Llama talk about it

Hi there!  I was looking around for a fun card to make and found the latest SVG release over at My Scrap Chick.  The Llama slimline card totally stole my heart!  Here is my version of it.

He is just so darn fun!  I paired it with a sentiment stamp from the Frantic Stamper Llama Sentiments set which was just so perfect for this card.

I wanted you to be able to see the layers I created.  The head was adhered with foam tape and then the fluff portion was also adhered with foam tape.  I love all of the dimension!

Can you see all that awesome gold splatter?  And you can see the shine from the black glaze pen I used to add the dot details.

If you love this cut file as much as I do, you can pick it up right HERE.  I am not affiliated with myscrapchick.com I just love their products.  I'm so happy to see them starting to carry slimline items since it is so popular right now.  And you can find the llama sentime stamp HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope to be back soon with more new cards to share!

Coffee Lovers blog hop day 6

I'm still on a roll and created my 6th project for the Coffee Lovers blog hop!  Go me!

This is another SVG file I purchased from The Cutting Cafe and can be found HERE.

Here is a side view.

The plaid piece you can see on the inside is actually a pocket to tuck a gift card!

I can't wait to make a whole lot more of these. As always, you can find details and the link up for the hop below.

Floral fun

Hi guys!  I just wanted to hop on with a short and sweet blog post.  I have to share something that I have simply gone ga-ga over.  Cut files/SVGs created by Effie over at The Ton Stamps!  She has just started creating them and let me tell you...they are STUNNING!  No, I'm not in anyway affiliated with The Ton Stamps.  I'm just a huge fan!  Effie has created some gorgeous cover plate files.  Seriously, you have got to check them out.

I finally got a little bit of time to create a quick project with one of the files.  This card uses the Floral Bud Layering Coverplate and the Bold Alpha (Upper Caps) cut files.  They are super affordable and easy to use.

This card was SO easy to put together!  I cut the floral layers and the letters out of 80lb cardstock.  I glued the two floral layers together and added a bit of detail with colored pencils.  For the Hi, I just added foam tape to the back to pop them up and some white dots from a gel pen.  Throw on a few sequins and ta-da!

You can check out all of The Ton Stamps digital files HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!

Baby giraffe card

Hello my crafting friends!  I have a super quick post to share the cutest baby card I have made to date.  Seriously.  I can't handle the cuteness!  However, I can't take full credit for it as it is an SVG cut file I purchased at My Scrap Chick

We are having a baby shower next week for a co-worker and I was in need of a card.  Her nursery is giraffe themed so I knew I needed to find something to match.  Here is my version!

Squeal!  This guy is just so dang adorable!  I cut all of the pieces uses my Brother Scan & Cut.  Before assembling it I sponged most of the edges with either mint or gray ink.  After I glued the layers together, I added wink of stella to the gray spots.  I drew on the eyebrows as they suggested.  That's it!  It wasn't hard to put together at all.  It just takes a little bit of time to do the sponging and adhering.

You can purchase the SVG file HERE.  They even have an awesome sale going on right now.  Lots of great files to be purchased.  They have several other adorable animals as well.

Well, I'm off to customize an envelope so I'll talk at ya later!
