Simple Stories Autumn Splendor

Long time no see my crafty friends!  I took a bit of a break but I hope to be back more regularly with new content to share.  Lately I've been in the mood to create some fall cards.  I dug into my paper stash and came up with the Simple Vintage Autumn Splendor collection.  This beauty has been living in my stash since, um, 2019.  You know how it is with pretty paper!  It can be so hard to use it.  Well, no time like the present!

My first two cards use a 6x8 Paper Busters template from Jess Crafts.  You can find it HERE.  I love her templates.  You can pick and choose from a variety of paper sizes to suit whatever paper you are working with.  Let me show you the results.

Aren't they fun?  I used a mix of cardstock, the pattern paper pad, Bits & Pieces, Foliage Bits & Pieces and stickers from the Mini Sticker Tablet.  The only thing not from the Autumn Splendor collection is the cardstock.

I always buy the Bits & Pieces because they make for quick but lovely cards when you need something fast.  To jazz the cards up, I splattered liberally with gold watercolor paint.  Then I added the bits & pieces and the stickers.  Quick and easy!

Now onto what I guess falls into the fun fold category.  I saw a tutorial from Tami White (see it HERE) and it inspired me to give it a try.  I'll let you watch her tutorial to get all of the details.  But, here's my version made with more goodies from the Autumn Splendor collection.

First I'll show you a little collage of all the different views of the card and then I 'll share bigger pictures of the individual views.

This is the view from the front when it's tied closed.

And then each of the sections.

Again I utilized the stickers and the bits & pieces.  For these leaves, I used the Sizzix Skeleton leaves dies (find them HERE this is an affilate link and I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you).  I'm so pleased with how everything turned out.

I appreciate you stopping by!
